To say Miki is enthusiastic about revolutionising the home loan industry is a major understatement – after all she did create Australia’s first open market mortgage broker in 2002. But there’s more to her than that. She’s tech savvy, passionate about people, family and ethics and learned how to lay bricks just so she could build a house. Flongle was conceived while Miki put the finishing touches on critically acclaimed consumer guide, Mortgage Free Debt Free. Oh yeah, she can talk. Lots and fast. Miki’s a passionate dreamer who turns ideas into reality.
Jodes has been working in the mortgage world for over a decade. She’s a pragmatist, a stickler for the rules, but has a soft heart for our customers.
With a real estate and mortgage broker background, a tenacious attitude and the belief that everyone deserves a fair go, Rachel drives our bidder growth.
Working with computers since they had valves, Em’s passion is her Team and the idea that good technology makes the world better.

Flongle’s story so far
While writing critically acclaimed Mortgage Free Debt Free, Mick realised that, even with the foundational knowledge his book delivered, shopping your mortgage properly was too time consuming and complex for even the most hard core researcher. Mick started mapping an idea for a reliable, low cost and independent web based service called KeyFacts Online. This then grew into flongle and the mortgage contest idea was born.
One Year Later
Our brand was found and flongle’s domains were registered world wide. Process mapping, data analysis and business planning began, however flongle was still simply Mick and he had a book to launch. Immediate development plans stall temporarily as Mick goes on tour to promote his book and mapping the industry, products and schema slooowww right down temporarily….
Getting Down and Dirty – Flongle gets real.
This was a BIG year. We mapped out every lender and loan products, the fields in their application forms, functions and the flows, mapped the database and built the wireframes. We began designing flongle from our customer’s perspective. We want flongle to be the easiest and fastest way to get the best tailor made mortgage deal. We took on our first round of seed capital, contracted supply, tendered the software build & signed with a well regarded software developer boasting Commonwealth Bank, Bendigo Bank and Dun and Bradstreet as clients. Four months in and the developer was failing… badly.But we had a fallback plan, so we pushed that button.
Three years later
…and the tech team and founder were still working themselves into a frenzy. The executive team began to assemble in prep for launch, we lodged our Provisional Patent and trademark applications and kicked off a private capital raising. Most importantly we ran our first real life pilot and the results were staggering.
